The Truth So Help Me Good Podcast was born in the fall of 2023, when my son-in-law suggested that I start a podcast. I was working on my own memoir at the time, and it seemed like an obvious fit to create a podcast that explores the human journey as shared through story telling. It began with my own stories, and then quickly evolved into bringing on guests to talk about their own.

The truth is that we do not necessarily read memoir solely because we are interested in someone else’s story, although that may be part of it. More likely, we are interested in someone else’s story because of what it tells us about ourselves. We read memoir because there is something to learn about ourselves from the experience of others.
